Michael has a new grandson and enjoyed the opportunity of holding him, it was great to see the two of them together enjoying each others company.
Quiz time

Today has been a busy day at Eastfield, residents had the choice of using the hydrotherapy pool or joining our keep fit class this morning and the afternnoon provided the opportunity to take part in a quiz . Full details of our events can be found on the website.
Relaxing in the Garden

Some of the residents took the opportunity to spend some time in the garden and enjoyed a refreshing ice lolly.

The service evaluation report shows a significant improvement in the rating of the service provided. Just under 65% of the forms completed gave the top rating of Very Good (55% last year) and 35% rated the service Good (45% last year). I think congratulations to the staff are in order!

• More attention to clothing labels
• Sometimes not enough attention to individual needs
• Male carers caring out personal care to female residents
• Not enough structured feedback to relatives
• Sometimes feel a little rushed in the mornings
• Sometimes the buzzer rings for a long time before it is answered

• I don’t mind coming to visit it is not a chore, everyone has a smile
• Keep up the high standards please

Royal Wedding Cakes

The Royal wedding was marked by great celebrations and everyone enjoyed the day, the lounge was wonderfully decorated and everyone watched it on the large screen TV.
In the afternoon we had some wine and Linda made some special Royal wedding cakes, which were appropriately decorated. I happened to catch John trying to get one of Linda's cakes!
